Understanding the Ramifications of the Iran-Israel War: Key Concepts for Pakistanis

I had a conversation with a US war veteran and military strategist (name not disclosed for confidentiality) with decades of experience, including high-ranking positions in the American military. One key lesson from our discussion was the importance of viewing conflicts as chess games, not checkers.

He posed a scenario: What if the US launched an attack on Iraq using a new stealth jet that evaded all radars and succeeded? While many might see this as a strategic victory, he argued otherwise. Revealing such advanced capabilities prematurely could ultimately disadvantage the attacker.

In the case of Iran’s recent attack, the scale, diversity, and weapons used forced Israel to reveal much of its anti-missile technology across the region. Although Iran didn’t deploy unknown weapons, the attack provided invaluable intelligence on Israel’s defense systems and US installations in the region.

There are a few concepts that we Pakistanis should easily grasp regarding the fallout of the Iran-Israel war:

  1. This presents an opportunity to condemn Israel’s wrongful actions against Palestinians.
  2. This is an ideal moment for Pakistan to engage in negotiations with world powers. If successful, Pakistan should consider closing its land bases like Shamsi and resolving long-standing issues.
  3. Pakistan should take preemptive measures against India, which may be acting on behalf of Israel, by closing its air corridor.
  4. The oil market would crash, leading to a worldwide recession.
  5. Pakistan should negotiate the transfer of technologies with Iran.
  6. Pakistan should reclaim its rights to drill oil in Baluchistan and confront BLA elements influenced by Iran.
  7. Cryptocurrency is already fluctuating, especially due to illicit arms black market payments, which are unfortunately encouraged by world governments.
  8. It’s an opportune time to invest in the Iranian currency.
  9. Pakistan should position itself as a regional authority to manage any future escalations, especially concerning Iran, India, and Afghanistan, at its own discretion.
  10. Pakistani national sentiments should be amplified and utilized for the country’s benefit.

Israeli Iron Dome is doomed

Take a look at the latest updates on the Snapchat hotspots! Hilarious stuff! Shitting their pants. If you open Instagram and check their recent posts, you’ll find that the Israeli youth portrayed there often lack intellect.

Their performances on Insta live streams or Omegle leave much to be desired; they’re not very good actors.

Contrary to the perception of being mighty tech giants, they seem to be living in a bubble.

The looming threat of a regional war increases pressure on Israel to seek a ceasefire, as neither the US nor Arab regimes desire further escalation. Those dismissing this as mere theatrics overlook the strategic implications and the value of gathering intelligence.

No meaningful impact by Iran

It’s a nation that’s gone astray and faltered. Iran, despite displaying courage, has ultimately let down. One could speculate that these attacks occurred with a tacit agreement to save face for all parties involved. I already discourage Indian involvement in the port of Chabahar and how close an ally India is to Israel. Is it not a clear nexus?

Netanyahu and the Israeli government prefer quick, decisive conflicts that draw in American support, while Iran favors a prolonged war of attrition that undermines Israel’s deterrence and garners Arab and US opposition.

Ultimately, for those seeking peace, supporting the Palestinian struggle for freedom, justice, and dignity is crucial. Sustainable peace in the region is impossible as long as Palestinians endure apartheid-like conditions.

Israeli Defense Costs Debated

Do defense specialists have accurate information about the expenses incurred for Israel’s missile defense system yesterday? Reports range from 1 to 5 billion USD. Regardless, it prompts US taxpayers to scrutinize their leaders for supporting Israel, especially if defense costs reach 5 billion USD daily. It seems like an unwinnable situation.

This strategic cost to Israel is compounded by domestic pressure on Arab regimes for prioritizing Israel’s protection over the plight of Gazans. Additionally, Iran can now use the gathered intelligence to plan more effective future attacks, while Israel and the US may need to redesign their defense strategies.
