A Brilliant Vermicelli Recipe and Procedure of Nawabi Seviyan

Ingredients: Prepare Vermicelli:

  • 2-3 tablespoons Oil
  • 150g Crushed Sawaiyan (Vermicelli)
  • ½ cup Powdered Sugar (or to taste)
  • 1/3 cup Dry Milk Powder

Prepare Custard:

  • 3 cups Milk
  • 200ml Cream
  • 1/3 cup Sugar (or to taste)
  • 4 tablespoons Custard Powder (prepared in one sip of milk)

Procedure: Prepare Vermicelli:

  1. Heat oil in a pot.
  2. Add crushed vermicelli and mix thoroughly. Cook over low heat for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Incorporate powdered sugar and dry milk powder, ensuring they are well combined. Continue cooking over medium heat for 5-6 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Set aside 1/3 of the cooked vermicelli in a separate bowl for later use.
  5. Transfer the remaining vermicelli to a serving dish and gently press it down to form a layer.

Prepare Custard:

  1. In a pot, combine milk and cream. Whisk them together until well blended.
  2. Add sugar to the pot and mix well. Bring the mixture to a boil.
  3. In a small bowl, combine custard powder and milk. Stir well to dissolve any lumps.
  4. Pour the dissolved custard mixture into the pot with the milk and sugar. Mix thoroughly.
  5. Continue cooking the mixture until the custard thickens, which should take approximately 2-3 minutes.
  6. Once the custard has thickened, pour it over the assembled vermicelli.
  7. Sprinkle the reserved vermicelli over the custard layer, spreading it evenly.
  8. Cover the dish with cling film and allow it to cool at room temperature.
