While Iran remains a challenge, the Israel Defense Forces are seen as capable of deterring Tehran and its allies. Consequently, U.S. experts believe that, following recent developments between Israel and key Arab countries, and with a more secure hold on the West Bank, Israel is no longer in a precarious position.
Regarding the established Middle Eastern countries, which are perceived, rightly or wrongly, to lean towards Israel and India, it is evident that a country’s foreign policy should not only emanate from but also complement, its internal policies. Both should pursue national interests focused on the security and well-being of the nation. This is a crucial point that our highly invested parliamentarians and policymakers need to grasp and actively work towards formulating and implementing self-reliant national policies.
