The last-minute cancellation of the opening ceremony, schedule changes, visa problems, and fans complaining about unclean stands… it’s all contributing to a lackluster buildup.
There’s a distinct absence of genuine excitement, and it almost feels like tomorrow’s match between England and New Zealand is just another run-of-the-mill game. When an Australian journalist raised this concern, Rohit conveniently sidestepped the issue and changed the subject.
It appears that the BCCI’s main focus is on ticket revenue, with little interest in investing in the celebration of this grand event. This is especially unjust to the passionate Indian public, who hold such a deep love for the game.
