First of all our generals of the 80s got riyals for doing this Pro Israel stunt. Saudia never could have done anything to Pakistan if we had not invested our energies in the USA-led afghan project. So if you think Pakistan has a soft spot for Palestine, you’re mistaken. It would be in Pakistan’s interest to recognize Israel before Saudi Arabia does because when the Saudis do it and Pakistan follows, it’ll just be like a beggar following its paymaster.
The best way to protect the legitimate rights of Palestine and to bring peace to the region is to first recognize the reality of Israel. After recognition engages Israel through bilateral and multinational diplomacy to bring lasting peace. This will surely benefit the region in particular and the world in general. It is a marathon, we are running on the same track, we will do the same as what others have done, and nothing will be different.
