Celebrate Haya Day – Valentine’s day is Haram

Furthermore, because the bond between a husband and wife is sacred and everlasting, there is no need to designate a single day to celebrate it, as if their love for each other is heightened only on that day.

In addition, love in Islam is a valued concept that should be shared among all individuals. Specifically, romantic love should not be celebrated before marriage, as it often results in immorality.

Valentine’s Day is considered prohibited in Islam because it encourages relationships that are not in accordance with Islamic law, and because it involves mimicking non-believers. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said,

Whoever imitates a people is among them.

Sunan Abi Dawud 4031

It is not acceptable for a Muslim to observe any of the non-believer’s holidays. May Allah (swt) protect and guide us all. Amen.

Saint Valentine was ultimately arrested, subjected to physical abuse, such as beating and stoning, and executed. None of the festive items like balloons, cakes, or trite messages convey this information!
