Why Solar Customers Need a Better Inquiry Journey Before Buying Hybrid Solar in Pakistan

Step 5: Ask for Backup Experience Before Battery Brand

This is one of the most important parts of the journey.

Instead of asking the customer which battery they want, the form first asks what kind of backup experience they expect.

Essential backup may mean lights, fans, WiFi, and selected sockets. Comfort backup may include essentials plus fridge and selected rooms. Heavy backup may mean multiple ACs or office continuity. Self-consumption means storing excess solar instead of wasting export. Business continuity means clinics, schools, offices, and commercial loads staying alive during outages. Maximum autonomy means longer backup and premium storage.

This is the correct order.

Battery selection should begin with the job the battery must perform. A 2.56 kWh entry backup system and a 16 kWh premium backup system are not comparable products. A 5 kWh lithium battery can be excellent for one customer and inadequate for another. A commercial ESS can be overkill for a small home and essential for a business that cannot stop.

When the customer defines the backup experience first, the quote becomes more honest.

Step 6: Move From Backup Experience to Battery Capacity

After the backup expectation is clear, the customer chooses a battery capacity category.

The form gives practical bands: 2.4–2.56 kWh entry backup, 5.0–5.12 kWh popular home backup, 7.5 kWh stronger residential backup, 10–10.24 kWh comfort backup, 12–16 kWh premium home or office backup, 20 kWh plus heavy backup, 100 kWh commercial ESS, or Zorays Solar to size after load sheet.

This structure educates the customer.

It helps the customer understand that battery planning is about usable energy, not just brand name. It also helps the technical team identify whether the customer is thinking about a small safety net, a serious home backup system, an office continuity solution, or a commercial energy storage project.

Lithium batteries are not decoration. They are system-defining components. Their capacity, voltage, battery management system, compatibility, warranty, IP rating, cycle life, and pairing with the inverter affect the entire experience.
