Imad Wasim’s Past Exclusion from Pakistan Cricket Team Sparks Controversy

Imad Wasim, a talented Pakistani cricketer, has expressed his frustration over being left out of the national team in the past. He stated, “I earned ten times more in leagues than what I would have earned while playing for Pakistan.” Despite his absence from the Pakistan Cricket Team for over two years without any solid reason, Imad continued to perform exceptionally well in leagues, particularly in PSL 8. Consequently, he was selected for the PCT once again and remained silent during that period.

Imad Wasim was the one who congratulated Babar Azam first when he was presented with his ODI cap.

However, Imad Wasim has made it clear that he will not remain silent if he faces a similar situation in the future. He stated, “I will take professional action in case I will be dropped from the Pakistan Cricket Team now without any reason.” This statement indicates that Imad is determined to have his voice heard and not be ignored.

Rashid Latif Calls for Fair Selection Process

Imad’s outstanding performances in the PSL 8 proved his worth as a cricketer. In the ODI format, he has scored 504 runs with an average of 50.40 in 18 innings, including eight not-outs and a strike rate of 133. He was also ranked third in the ODI all-rounder rankings when the PCB dropped him.

Imad’s ambition is to leave a legacy behind in white ball cricket, much like Brendon McCullum has done for New Zealand. He stated, “My target is to see Pakistan win the World Cup 2023 and be in the top three rankings in white ball cricket.” Rashid Latif, the former Pakistani cricketer, expressed his bewilderment at Imad’s absence from the ODI team, stating, “I don’t understand why Imad Wasim is not in the ODI team. When Imad Wasim was dropped from the team, his performance was good even then. And now that he has come to the team, he has come by performing. This is unfair, the selection committee will have to think with Imad Wasim and Pakistan Cricket.”

Furthermore, Babar Azam’s exclusion of Imad Wasim from the ODI squad also raised eyebrows. It was reported that Babar did not vote in favor of Imad’s inclusion in the team. Imad deserves a chance to represent Pakistan in the ODI format, given his outstanding performances and his strong desire to contribute to the team’s success.

The Imad Waseem scandal, in which he was accused of cheating by an Afghan-descent Dutch girl and by a Norwegian girl who claimed that Imad had booked a hotel in London for three days and promised to marry her, has recently been proven to be untrue as Imad later married the same girl.

In conclusion, Imad Wasim is a talented cricketer who has proven his worth time and time again. His ambition is to leave a legacy in white ball cricket and see Pakistan win the World Cup 2023 while ranking in the top three in white ball cricket. It is only fair that he be given a chance to contribute to the team’s success in the ODI format as well. If he is dropped from the team without any valid reason, he will take professional action to ensure that his voice is heard.
