Hardik Pandya’s meeting with a devoted supporter makes a modest human-interest story without needing exaggerated promises or a manufactured scandal. Reports identify the fan as Ravi Kumar Rawat, from Lucknow, and describe a long journey to meet the cricketer in Bengaluru.
What the reports actually say
Gulf News reported on 20 October that Rawat travelled on foot first to Mumbai and then to Bengaluru after learning that Pandya was there. Its account puts the two legs at approximately 1,400 km and 990 km, and says Pandya asked his manager to arrange a return ticket.
The Times of India’s account places the meeting at the BCCI’s Centre of Excellence. It describes a warm greeting, a hug and a conversation about how Rawat would get home. These are attributed reports; this article has not independently tracked his route or inspected a travel booking.
