Nico Williams (Spain)
Williams delivered another performance that justified his reputation as one of world football’s most dangerous wide forwards. His aerial threat produced Spain’s clearest first-half opportunity, while his relentless pressing prevented Argentina from comfortably building attacks from the back.
Even when he wasn’t directly involved in scoring opportunities, his work rate forced turnovers high up the pitch and maintained Spain’s territorial dominance.
