A History of Luxury: Not an Overnight Phenomenon
One detail often ignored in online outrage is that this is not Pasban’s first encounter with supercars.
As far back as 2011–2013, Pasban was publicly associated with:
-
Pakistan’s only Lamborghini Aventador at the time
-
A Ferrari F430, showcased at Faisalabad auto events
These appearances are still documented in older automotive forums and social media archives. This weakens the narrative of sudden or unexplained wealth accumulation tied solely to the current purchase.
Local defenders point to generational wealth, noting Faisalabad’s long-standing industrial base—often called the Manchester of Pakistan—where textiles, trade, and manufacturing have quietly produced multimillionaires for decades.
Local reputation, however, does not replace verifiable business records, especially in IT.
Social Media Reaction: From Defense to Defamation
Online responses clustered into four predictable camps:
1. Local Defense
“Everyone in Faisalabad knows they’re rich from decades.”
This may well be true. But local familiarity does not substitute for public accountability when wealth becomes nationally visible.
2. Political Labeling
Claims linking the family to PTI, the military, or intelligence agencies surfaced rapidly.
These claims remain unsubstantiated and are largely irrelevant to the original business question.
