Inzamam Ul Haq surrenders before a PCB Five Member Inquiry on Conflict of Interest

Inzamam ul Haq

Inzamam-ul-Haq has resigned from his position as Pakistan’s men’s chief selector amid an ongoing PCB investigation into potential conflict of interest allegations. This development is unprecedented, and it became even more significant due to the ignominious nature of his departure. It followed a disappointing World Cup performance, further exacerbated by accusations of nepotism towards Imam ul Haq and his business partner Muhammad Rizwan, both of whom are associated with Saya Corporation, which also counts as Babar’s mentor.

Inzamam-ul-Haq has tendered his resignation as the chairman of both the national men’s selection committee and the junior selection committee. He assumed the role of chairman for the national men’s committee on August 7, 2023, and was also recently appointed as the head of the junior men’s selection committee.
