Regardless, the Indo-Pacific Rebalancing will continue to address the key strategic rationale for U.S. presence in the region: ensuring the free flow of energy resources from the Persian Gulf and maintaining secure Sea Lines of Communication for free trade. Furthermore, Israelβs strategic position has never been stronger, with a per capita GDP comparable to that of France and the United Kingdom.
While Iran remains a challenge, the Israel Defense Forces are seen as capable of deterring Tehran and its allies. Consequently, U.S. experts believe that, following recent developments between Israel and key Arab countries, and with a more secure hold on the West Bank, Israel is no longer in a precarious position.
