LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board has appointed legendary fast bowler Wasim Akram as the official brand ambassador for HBL Pakistan Super League Season 11, marking a high-profile endorsement ahead of the league’s 2025–26 cycle.

The announcement was made by PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi during a press conference in Lahore alongside PSL Chief Executive Officer Salman Naseer. Naqvi confirmed that Akram will not only serve as the league’s public face but will also oversee the auction process on bidding day, adding institutional credibility and transparency to a pivotal phase of the tournament.

“One good thing for PSL 11 is that we have named Wasim Akram as the brand ambassador. Not only that, on the day of the bid, he will be overseeing the auction process,” Naqvi said.

Wasim Akram’s relationship with the PSL has evolved steadily—from early ambassadorial duties to hands-on coaching and advisory roles across franchises.
