Pakistan has maintained an undefeated record against Sri Lanka in the men’s ODI World Cup.
Abdullah Shafique in for Fakhar
Dasun Shanaka won the toss and chose to bat first against Pakistan. There is one change for each team. Abdullah Shafique replaces Fakhar Zaman. Mahesh Theekshana replaces Kasun Rajitha.
Imam dropped an easy catch, and don’t even mention catching in the slips. Imam ul Haq not only dropped Mendis but also did not play in the opener position. It’s frustrating; there are discussions about making podcasts regarding his and his family’s mental health. Will anyone address how his inclusion in the team has affected the mental well-being of us, Pakistani fans?
Virgin Shaheen Afridi was exceptional
Shaheen is trying too hard. His line is way off, and his pace is at least 10km too slow. The notion that Pakistani cricketers’ performance declines after marriage is a subject of discussion.
I really like Shaheen Shah Afridi, but I am noticing that his speed is decreasing. I feel like he might have been injured again and is forcefully playing in the World Cup.
Waqar Younis
Spinner’s Role
Babar’s captaincy seems defensive. There’s no slip for the spinner in the first overs. Shadab needs to pitch the ball fuller. He’s been cut for boundaries enough times by the Sri Lankan batters. Even the delivery on which he got Nissanka out was one that could have been cut away for four. Question marks over Shadab Khan’s performance, Pakistan needs a good spinner, analysis by former captain Salman Butt.
Hassan Ali takes Three
Kushal Mendis’ explosive innings have come to a close. He amassed an impressive total of 14 boundaries and 6 sixes, achieving a remarkable strike rate of 158. This World Cup represents Hassan Ali’s redemption arc.
