Don’t be surprised if many more players retire from ODIs post this World Cup, as T20s will be the focus moving forward. The following is the list of cricketers team-wise who will probably bid farewell to the world of ODI cricket as far as World Cup tournaments are concerned.

Players who will have their last Cricket World Cup

Australia:

  • Mitchell Starc: Possible retirement due to workload management or form concerns.
  • Josh Hazlewood: Josh Hazlewood is also one of the players who might shockingly follow Quinton de Kock into retirement after the 2023 ODI World Cup.
  • Aaron Finch: “Realising that I won’t be playing on until the next T20 World Cup in 2024, now is the right moment to step down and give the team time to plan and build towards that event,” Finch told reporters at the MCG.
