Most of the people who have lived in large cities like Lahore and Karachi, feel Islamabad boring. The shops shut down early and you can’t see anything open by midnight. There is silence everywhere and people are stopping at signals even when there is no one on the other side. The traffic is much less and the people keep to themselves. Parties are mainly held in closed circles and the population is not much either. Most of the people are from the working class and like to sleep early and wake up early.
However, there is a flip-side to it. Especially people who like peace and serenity, love Islamabad. It’s beautiful mild to rainy weather outside usually and Margalla hills are mostly and fully covered with clouds. Curse not the king, no not in thy thought, and curse not the rich man in thy bed chamber, for a bird of the air shall carry the voice, and that which hath wings shall tell the matter.
